SWASTI MEDICAL FOUNDATION'S CHIRAYU HOSPITAL was founded under the Patronage of Dr. Ramesh Chavan who was the first Surgeon of Ratnagiri district. The Hospital was started in Aug 2003 with a noble intention of giving upgraded & super specially medical care to the people of Ratnagiri under one roof.

The well-known SWASTIK HOSPITAL founded by Dr. Keshavrao D. Chavan and Mrs. Saraswatibai K. Chavan situated opposite to ST bus stand is serving the people of Ratnagiri with it’s medical facilities from more than 80 years. Dr. Ramesh Chavan, son of them who is first General Surgeon of Ratnagiri chose to serve his own Ratnagiri people instead of doing jobs in metro cities like Mumbai, Pune from 1966..
